The league has expanded its playoffs length from 12 to 14 teams this season, meaning one more from each conference will be qualified for the post-season and only top seeds in AFC or NFC will carry a first-round bye.
The 2022 NFL Playoffs will be a wild-card round from Saturday, Jan 15th, and the season is set to end with Super Bowl on February 13th. Here we have rounded up everything you need to know about this year’s postseason games times dates TV channel location.
NFL has announced that the wild card round will be played on Saturday, January 15, and Sunday morning. There are three games for Sunday night with one game going forward as normal during Monday’s evening hours (7:30 PM EST). These changes come after some negotiations between television networks who want more prime-time slots available while League executives look out over their schedule options following recent seasons where viewership was down across most platforms – including internet streaming services like watching footballs without cable.
When do the NFL playoffs start in 2022?
- Wild-card round: Jan. 15-17-2022
- Divisional round: Jan. 22-23-2022
- Conference championships: Jan. 30-2022
- Pro Bowl: February. 6-2022
- Super Bowl 56: Feb. 13-2022
The 2022 NFL postseason will feature a total of seven teams from each conference. This marks the second year in which all No. 1 seeds receive bye weeks, and it’s an unprecedented event for both conferences to be involved with only 14-team tournaments at tournament time.
The NFL has announced that all of the postseason games will now start in mid-January instead of early this year. This means we’re getting closer and more exciting Super Bowl 52 with an extra week for recovery after championing our respective teams.
